GEM STONE

Inspired by the hidden beauty of raw materials, Gem Stone is a light-shade that gives unpredictable projections on walls and ceilings. 
I made the model in DAS daw, after a few tests, the best one was handed over to a mould maker, who produced four different sizes of moulds.
Liquid glass, when it’s blown into a mould, makes it possible to have a product with stark lines from the outside and soft and fluid lines from the inside. This variation in thickness filters the light in unexpected and interesting ways.
Raw Gem is a product initially developed for a museum in Thailand, but the element turned out to be so versatile that it was used for various projects.
